$145 retail 4.5/5 (2,500 user reports)
This page is our permanent home for Black Friday sneaker deals. It lives at this URL every year: before the season we explain what to watch, on November 27 it switches to a verified live list of price drops, and after Cyber Monday it points you at what is still worth buying. You never need to hunt for a new link.
We judge a deal against the Amazon range we have actually recorded for each model, not against a crossed-out reference price. A Black Friday price below the low end of that recorded range is a real deal; anything above it is just a shoe at its normal street price. When you buy through the Amazon buttons on this page we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and it funds the hands-on testing behind every pick.
When do Black Friday sneaker deals start?
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, the day after Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 26. Cyber Monday follows on Monday, November 30. Those are the only dates we state as fact; everything else here is pattern, not promise.
The qualitative pattern from brand sites and large retailers: early-access sales usually open during the week before Black Friday, the main event runs through the weekend, and most offers roll into Cyber Monday before disappearing. Selection follows its own logic regardless of the schedule. Core colorways in popular sizes thin out first, previous-season colors last longer, and wide widths sell through early on models that offer them. If your size is common and your colorway is the flagship one, shopping early in the week beats shopping late.
What usually goes on sale
Which models discount is best answered with evidence. Our recorded Amazon ranges show which shoes actually move below retail during the year; a wide band means discounts happen, while no band means we have never tracked one.
Hoka
Hoka discounts show up clearly in our tracking. The Clifton 9 lists at $145 with a recorded $120 to $150 range across 2,500 user reports, and the Mach 6 lists at $140 with a recorded $80 to $140 range. The Gaviota 5 sits at $175 retail with a $140 to $175 band, and the Skyward X at $225 with $168 to $225. The exception is the Bondi 9: $170 retail and 300 g with a 4.8 rating, but no recorded Amazon band, so treat any discount as rare. Our Hoka Black Friday deals page covers each model in depth.
Nike
Nike’s daily trainers show real bands. The Vomero 18 lists at $150 with a recorded $140 to $180 range, the Structure 26 at $130 with $95 to $130, and the Invincible 3 at $180 with $130 to $180. The Pegasus 41 is the special case: $145 retail and 2,850 user reports with 92 percent positive cushioning feedback, but its recorded $56 to $265 span comes from single sizes, so we quote retail only and never use a threshold for it. Everything Pegasus-related lives on our Nike Pegasus Black Friday page.
Adidas
Adidas splits into two camps. The Gazelle lists at $100 with a recorded $85 to $110 range, the Superstar at $100 with $60 to $100, and the Ultraboost 5X at $180 with $99 to $144. Then there are the icons with no recorded band at all: the Samba OG ($100 retail, 4.3 rating) and the Handball Spezial ($170, 4.8), both with suede uppers that demand dry weather. Buy those when you find your size. Our Adidas Black Friday deals page has the full breakdown.
New Balance
New Balance rewards patience on runners and charges full price on lifestyle icons. The 1080 v14 lists at $165 with a recorded $120 to $165 range, the 530 at $110 with $80 to $120, and the 1906R at $155 with $140 to $160. The 990v6 shows a narrower $180 to $200 band against its $200 retail. Against that, the 9060 at $155 and the 574 Core at $90 have no recorded band: buy them when you need them. See our New Balance Black Friday deals page for model-by-model guidance.
Brooks and ASICS
Brooks and ASICS daily trainers are among the most trackable shoes we cover. The Ghost 16 lists at $140 with a recorded $89 to $140 range across 2,500 reports, the Glycerin 22 at $165 with $124.95 to $165, and the Ghost Max 2 at $150 with $99.95 to $150. On the ASICS side, the Gel-Nimbus 27 lists at $160 with $130 to $160, the Gel-Kayano 31 at $165 with $127 to $165, and the Novablast 5 at $150 with a tight $140 to $150 band. Our running shoe Black Friday deals page goes deeper on all six.
How much do sneakers drop on Black Friday?
The honest answer first: we do not publish past Black Friday prices because we did not track them. Any site quoting last year’s door price from memory is guessing. What we publish instead is the Amazon range we have recorded during normal-season tracking, and our rule is simple: a Black Friday price below that range’s low end is a real deal. Anything inside the range is the shoe’s ordinary street price with festive lighting.
What counts as a real deal:
| Model | Retail | Recorded Amazon range | Real deal if under |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hoka Clifton 9 | $145 | $120–$150 | $120 |
| Hoka Mach 6 | $140 | $80–$140 | $80 |
| Adidas Gazelle | $100 | $85–$110 | $85 |
| Adidas Superstar | $100 | $60–$100 | $60 |
| New Balance 990v6 | $200 | $180–$200 | $180 |
| New Balance 1080 v14 | $165 | $120–$165 | $120 |
| Brooks Ghost 16 | $140 | $89–$140 | $89 |
| ASICS Gel-Nimbus 27 | $160 | $130–$160 | $130 |
Use the table with judgment. A price far below retail in one odd size is usually clearance of leftovers, the same mechanism behind the outlier listings we exclude from this table. Check that the price applies to your size in a standard colorway before calling it a deal.
Worth waiting for vs buy now
Wait for November when the recorded band sits well below retail:
- Hoka Mach 6: recorded $80 to $140 against $140 retail, with 85 percent positive cushioning feedback.

- New Balance 1080 v14: recorded $120 to $165 against $165 retail.

- New Balance 9060 ($155) and 574 Core ($90): no recorded Amazon band.
- Hoka Speedgoat 6 ($155): recorded $150 to $160, barely below retail.
- ASICS Gel-Cumulus 27 ($140): a single recorded point near $139.95, effectively no band.

When the deals go live
On November 27 the status card at the top of this page becomes the live list. Each entry shows the model, the price we saw, the date we checked it, and a link to the listing. We verify each price in a standard size, never a single odd size, and we remove entries as they expire rather than leaving dead prices up.
Shop by brand while you wait:
- Hoka Black Friday deals: Clifton 9, Bondi 9, Mach 6 and the trail options.
- Nike Pegasus Black Friday deals: Pegasus 41 plus Vomero, Structure and Invincible alternatives.
- Adidas Black Friday deals: Samba, Gazelle, Campus and the Ultraboost line.
- New Balance Black Friday deals: 990v6, 1080 v14, 530 and the lifestyle icons.
- Running shoe Black Friday deals: Brooks Ghost and Glycerin plus ASICS Nimbus, Kayano and Novablast.
Worth buying at full price
Miss the sale and these picks still earn their retail price. The Nike Pegasus 41 at $145 pairs ReactX foam with dual Air Zoom pods and holds 92 percent positive cushioning feedback across 2,850 reports, a workhorse record few shoes match. The Hoka Clifton 9 at $145 carries 90 percent positive cushioning feedback and suits easy miles, long runs and full standing shifts. The Brooks Ghost 16 at $140 brings DNA Loft v3 foam with 85 percent cushioning and 90 percent stability approval. The New Balance 990v6 at $200 justifies its premium with FuelCell foam, ENCAP support and up to six widths.
Black Friday vs Cyber Monday for sneakers
For sneakers the two days are one long event with different inventory. Black Friday on November 27 has the widest selection of sizes and colorways; Cyber Monday on November 30 is the same sale with thinner shelves and occasionally a deeper cut on leftover pairs. Neither day has a structural price advantage we can prove from our data. The decision rule stays mechanical: buy your size when the price drops below the recorded range’s low end, on whichever day that happens.
